1)Ice float on water because water molecules from hexagonal crystals which are less than liquid water.
2)Water made up of hydrogen and oxygen atoms that share electrons, the oxygen atoms are better at pulling the electrons towards their nucleus than the hydrogen atom (we can say that oxygen has a high electronegativity).
